Regulating your child’s moods and outbursts

Disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD) is a childhood condition that is characterized by extreme anger, irritability, and frequent and/or intense temper outbursts. DMDD is a fairly new diagnosis. Only two major types of treatment are currently used to manage DMDD symptoms: medication and psychological treatment. Psychological treatment may be considered first, with medication added should the need arise.

Our experts at Essene Behavioral Healthcare Services will work closely with parents to develop a treatment plan that is best for their child.
